Aluminium Furnaces
Where Precision and Innovation Meet

Innovative Aluminium Furnace Solutions

ETS provides advanced aluminium heat treatment furnaces for a wide range of applications, including coil, foil, extrusions, rods, and bars. Our tailored solutions ensure precise heating and optimal performance for every aluminium product.

Coil and Foil Annealing Furnaces

ETS designs specialised annealing furnaces to improve ductility and relieve internal stresses of Aluminium Coils. The process of annealing involves heating the aluminum coil to a specific temperature, holding it at that temperature, and then cooling it down at a controlled rate. Here are some key reasons for this treatment:

  • Increased Ductility
  • Stress Relief
  • Improved Mechanical Properties
  • Enhanced Surface Quality
  • Homogenization

Homogenizing Furnaces

An aluminum homogenizing furnace is used to treat aluminum alloys, particularly those that are cast or wrought, with the primary purpose of achieving a uniform microstructure throughout the material. The key purposes of a homogenizing furnace include:

  • Microstructure Uniformity
  • Elimination of Casting Defects
  • Improvement of Ductility and Workability
  • Enhanced Mechanical Properties
  • Preparation for Aging or Further Processing

Mixing / Holding Furnaces

Serves several important purposes in the production of aluminum alloys and the overall casting process. Here are the key functions of an aluminum mixing furnace:

  • Alloy Composition Adjustment
  • Homogenization of Melt
  • Removal of Impurities
  • Temperature Control
  • Preparation for Casting
  • Cost Efficiency

Melting Furnaces

There are several types of aluminum melting furnaces, each designed to suit specific applications and operational requirements. ETS focuses primarily on Reverberatory Furnaces. These are large furnaces where the heat is provided by a burner located above the metal. The flames reverberate off the roof and walls to create a heated environment.

Advantages:

  • Suitable for melting large quantities of aluminum.
  • Capable of handling a wide range of scrap aluminum.
  • Good thermal efficiency when appropriately designed.
  • Allows for continuous melting and tapping, enhancing productivity.
  • Regenerative Burners can be utilized to recover waste heat from furnace exhaust gases and preheat combustion air to significantly increase efficiency over conventional burners or burners with recuperators.

Electromagnetic Stirrers

ETS can add an electromagnetic stirrer to a Reverberatory furnace to increase the melt rate by enhancing mixing and promoting uniform heat distribution within the molten metal.

Advantages:

  • Enhanced Metal Homogeneity
  • Increased Melt Rate
  • Reduction of Oxide Formation
  • Improved Energy Efficiency
  • Facilitation of Scrap Melting
